RE Heads Please Broken Coins: What to Do With Extra or Unusable Coins
What to do with broken, extra, or duplicate coins in RE: Heads. Please!: keep, upgrade, or enchant them, and which actions are not currently available in the inventory.
If a coin in RE: Heads. Please! seems broken, extra, or simply not worth keeping, the safest current action is to leave it in your coin panel and invest in a better coin instead — there is currently no confirmed sell, repair, convert, or delete action for coins in the inventory. Your coins do not hurt you by sitting there, so you never lose value by holding one. What follows is how each unwanted-coin situation breaks down with the actions that actually exist today.
What counts as "broken" or "extra"
The game does not define a distinct "broken" coin state. What players usually mean is one of these:
- A low-rarity coin you've outgrown. Coins earn money per spin based on their rarity, and better coins come quickly early in the game — for example, a Penny earns $10 per spin, while a Dalgona Coin earns $15. A starter coin can feel "useless" long before it's actually gone.
- A duplicate. Since coins are pulled from the gacha at the Fountain (on the first floor of Pancake Station, about $1,000 per gamble), repeats are inevitable.
- A coin that seems bugged or stuck. If a coin appears non-functional, the current inventory offers no repair action — treat it as cosmetic dead weight until a game update changes that.
Current inventory actions for unwanted coins
Your coins live in the coins panel at the top of the UI (coins are what earn you money), while your general inventory shows other items like enchanted books. The actions available for coins are:
- Upgrade it. Take the coin to the upgrade NPC, where an animation lets you pick which stat to upgrade. One caution for beginners: don't spend money upgrading a basic coin, since better coins arrive quickly — upgrading Money Earned on a decent coin is the recommended use.
- Enchant it. The enchant station applies enchants, with Wealth, Heads, and Flash cited as strong choices (prefer tier two or three).
That's the full verified set. No sell, repair, or delete action is documented in the current interface.
Can you sell or convert an unwanted coin?
Not through any confirmed path. No in-game action lets you sell, trade in, or convert an extra, duplicate, or broken coin back into money or gamble currency. If a coin looks eligible for something like that, check its action menu in the coins panel after each game update — inventory actions have changed before, and the game is actively updated (recent update codes confirm ongoing changes).
What you can do to keep earning while you wait for better coins:
- Complete collection quests from the quest NPC (finding spray cans and board markers around the map). These also unlock the skateboard.
- Use the NPC where you can turn in money for coins to gamble with.
When to keep a coin
- Early game: keep any coin, even a bad one — it still earns money per spin, and something is better than nothing.
- A decent mid-tier coin: it's a valid upgrade/enchant target if you're not ready to gamble for better ones.
- Duplicates and starter coins: keep them by default. Since discarding isn't an option, they cost you nothing in the panel, and a future update could change what's possible with them.
Common UI misunderstandings
- The coins panel and the inventory are separate views. If you can't find a coin, check the top-of-UI coins panel rather than your item inventory.
- Coin rarity affects spin profit only. In the Ruined Station mining zone, a coin's rarity neither hinders nor benefits your progress — so a "worse" coin isn't a liability there.
- A missing action button (no sell, no repair) usually means the action doesn't exist in your current version, not that you've missed a menu. Recheck after economy updates.
